Culture Hub

Design Laser Play was commissioned by Liverpool Vision and Culture Liverpool to design, produce and install the Culture Hub for the International Festival of Business (IFB).

The brief for the Culture Hub was to design a simple, yet bold and striking temporary structure that could withstand two months of the high winds and wild weather at Mann Island on Liverpool’s Pier Head and be used safely and comfortably by the day-to-day operational staff.

Design Laser Play was responsible for structural design, art direction and build of the Culture Hub, working closely with Culture Liverpool and Trustland on the project management and site install. The Hub was to be used by the IFB Welcome Staff to promote the cultural offer of the city during the June and July festival, increasing national and international delegates’ understanding of and engagement with the culture of the city.
